Love is probably one of the most questioned emotions in the world,and there are many questions to ask about it. Not the love for food or a video game,but the love for another. Unfortunately I do believe I have the answer as to why love is complicated,and how to know your in love. Lets begin with how you know;
The answer to that question is so simple yet excruciatingly complicated,and this all ties in with why love is so complicated and rare. The question is "What would I give up for that person I 'love'?".
Seems like a simple question and your mind is immediately going to say "everything", however stop yourself from saying that just yet and think deeper about this. This is exactly why love is complicated (I'll get to the rare part but you may already see it by then), to answer this question you must be purely truthful with yourself,at least to gain the truth. So if you are honest and you say everything then yes you probably love that person. However,and this is why most people don't like to think to much about it,if you think of something you can't give up for the one you love, does this not leave you questioning whether its love or not? oh it could still be and perhaps is,but now how much do you love someone if there is something you cannot give up for them?
This is why love that is true is so rare. To truly be in love you must ask this question and answer honestly,meaning being true to yourself and not allow yourself to be blinded by the hopes your feelings are true, a fact and truth that humans could never quite grasp to be possible or plausible.
My perfect example, and bare with me on this one,Anakin Skywalker loved Padme,he let go of everything he stood for,including his greatest friendship to save her. Now yes of course he was indeed the cause of her death but had he known that would happen he would not ever have done it.
Could you ever do it? Give your greatest friendship,your beliefs,your goals,everything,for the one you love?
Welcome my friends to why love that is true is so rare. Argue if you wish and I will gladly look over your opinion and take it into my considerations,however this new revelation seems to stick to my mind rather closely,and I sincerely doubt anyone or anything can change this.
Thank you for at least reading.
